The board game Lego Race reinforces the learning skills of reading and comprehension by requiring the target audience of children between the ages of 2nd to 4th graders to roll the dice, read the card and then follow the card instructions. The children need to distinguish between the dice of shapes and the dice of colors which correspond to the shapes or colors on the board path. I wanted to incorporate the fun of Legos along with the strategic thinking skills required to play the game.
